Ring Lost at Crescent Beach, Siesta Key. SRARC recovers it.

Amanda and Sam visited us from Nebraska for a little spring warm up. It was a special place to them and they were happy to be back once again. Sam had something special in mind as they went to Siesta Key Crescent Beach. They laid out their blanket and beach things and then he got down on one knee and proposed marriage to Amanda. What a surprise!!!!, but Amanda was all in and said “YES”. They talked excitedly about their future and then decided to venture into the water. A short 30 minutes after Sam slide an engagement ring onto her finger, Amanda was hit by a wave and the ring slipped off her finger into the sand and disappeared. They searched but could not find it and with sad hearts they finally returned to their house. Amanda googled “how to find a lost ring” and Ring Finders popped up and she found SRARC and contacted us. Mike Miller was assigned the recovery and he met them on the beach the following morning. It was very rough but he tried anyway but after about 10 minutes later it was clear he could not continue. He kept checking the surf every day and finally 3 days later he was able to hunt and after about and hour he found the ring. Mike called Amanda from the beach and they were still in town so he arranged to meet them. After returning the ring Amanda told Mike the story about the proposal for the first time which is what makes this story so special. They were all smiles and were returning home the next day with a story that will last them a life time.

Lido Key Beach Lost Ring Recovered By SRARC

Samantha and Peter went to Lido Key beach to enjoy the sunset and some evening fun after work. There were a lot of big swells so they decided to go play in the wat. As the bounced up and down with each new swell, Peter felt his wedding ring slipping from his finger. He looked down just in time to see it glide to the bottom and disappear in the sand. They stayed and looked until it was to dark to see but had no luck. Later that evening Samantha found SRARC on the Ring Finders site and contacted us. She also returned the next day to search with snorkel gear but still could not find the ring. Her last hope was SRARC, After setting up a time to meet Mike Miller and Paul Hill showed up and Peter took them to the location. After hunting for about 15 minutes Paul indicated he had the ring. We both walked in toward the shore and we could see a big smile form on Peters face. When we reach him, Paull held out his scoop and Peter searched for his ring. He pulled it out of the scoop and declared “This is not my ring”. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Paul Hill just scored an 18 K gold ring. So, back to work we went. After another 15 minutes we began to expand the search and shortly thereafter Paul claimed he had really found it this time. As we walked back to shore again, Peter was not sure what to expect. This time when he looked in the scoop he shouted “that’s my ring thank you, oh thank you”. Peter and Samantha have only been since December, so they were both overjoyed to have the ring back on Peter’s finger and we at SRARC were overjoyed to have been able to recover it for them.

Vicki was on Longboat Key out to get a suntan while visiting her mother for her 87th birthday celebration. Lost Ring In Brooksville Found By SRARC

Upon notification of Howard Mets of a missing diamond ring in Brooksville, I called Mrs. Emily Harris and arraigned a time to meet her: Sunday March 24th at 2pm at her home.

SRARC member Bill Frosch and I arrived at her house a few minutes before 2pm and Mrs. Harris showed us where she had been washing her car in the side yard of her house.

She advised us that apparently her gold & diamond ring slipped off her finger into the soapy bucket of water, and she later threw the bucket of soapy water into the brush

near the property line between her house and the empty lot next door. Bill and I geared up and began checking the area. Within 10 minutes of detecting the area of the property line

I picked up a very strong surface signal, and using my pin pointer, located Mrs. Harris’ ring under the leaves, in the grass.

Mrs Harris was ecstatic over us finding the ring and was beaming ear to ear.
