Ring Lost on Venice Beach, Recovered By SRARC

Abbey and her sister Ameilia were escaping the cold weather of their home state of Wisconsin by visiting Venice Beach. They were standing in waist-deep water when Abbey dropped her diamond engagement ring while playing with it on her finger. She instinctively plugged her nose and dove for the ring, but the soft Venice sand instantly had it covered. Abbey found a passing metal detectorist who spent an hour trying to retrieve her lost ring, but to no avail. Abbey’s sister found SRARC online and made contact with the club’s president, Howard Metts. Howard and Mike Shuler met with Abbey and Amelia the next day, and the two showed Howard and Mike right where they were standing when the loss occurred. They were so accurate that within two minutes Mike was pulling the ring out of his scoop and handing it to a delighted Abbey! We’re so glad that Abbey is returning to Wisconsin with her precious ring!

Ring Lost is Recovered by SRARC

Last year we had a very successful recovery where we returned 5 rings and two watches out of one yard. A year later, Renee called us back after being absent from her home for a few months and discovering on her return that several jewelry items were missing. She was hoping that they had been thrown into the yard again. Mike Miller and Carl Boekemier hunted for several hours and determined that none of the missing items were in the yard. We did recover one Man’s wedding ring which had ben lost years earlier. Now we can say we recovered 6 rings and 2 watches from the same yard. We also want to wish Renee good luck on finding her missing items one of which was the Rolex watch we recovered on our first hunt.

Ring Lost on Siesta Key is Recovered by SRARC

The dreaded ring in the chair trick is no match for our Ringfinders! ************************************************ Rick and his wife were down from North Georgia near Atlanta enjoying the wonderful beaches near Siesta Key. Rick’s wife took off her wedding band and put it in the beach chair for safe keeping. When they were ready to go they scooped up the chair, shook off the sand and headed for the condo. Only to realize the ring was back on the beach. Rick found SRARC online and made the call. Just so happens Mike Miller and Paul Hill were less then a half mile away looking for another lost ring. They were about ready to leave because the surf was too rough to hunt due to the storms out in the gulf. They headed right over and were met by Rick immediately. He took them to the spot were he thought they had set up on the day before. The search began. Within 3 minutes Paul had the ring in his scoop. Rick was amazed and truly shocked that they had recovered his wife’s matching wedding band. He actually wiped a tear from his eye. It just doesn’t get any better then that! Ring Lost at Crescent Beach, Siesta Key. SRARC recovers it.

Amanda and Sam visited us from Nebraska for a little spring warm up. It was a special place to them and they were happy to be back once again. Sam had something special in mind as they went to Siesta Key Crescent Beach. They laid out their blanket and beach things and then he got down on one knee and proposed marriage to Amanda. What a surprise!!!!, but Amanda was all in and said “YES”. They talked excitedly about their future and then decided to venture into the water. A short 30 minutes after Sam slide an engagement ring onto her finger, Amanda was hit by a wave and the ring slipped off her finger into the sand and disappeared. They searched but could not find it and with sad hearts they finally returned to their house. Amanda googled “how to find a lost ring” and Ring Finders popped up and she found SRARC and contacted us. Mike Miller was assigned the recovery and he met them on the beach the following morning. It was very rough but he tried anyway but after about 10 minutes later it was clear he could not continue. He kept checking the surf every day and finally 3 days later he was able to hunt and after about and hour he found the ring. Mike called Amanda from the beach and they were still in town so he arranged to meet them. After returning the ring Amanda told Mike the story about the proposal for the first time which is what makes this story so special. They were all smiles and were returning home the next day with a story that will last them a life time.

5 Lost Rings and 2 Watches Recovered In Sarasota

Over the past year Renee and Eddy had lost, for various reasons, multiple items in the yard of their home. Mike Shuler, Bill Gallant, and Mike Miller went to the house after Renee contacted us in hopes of finding her recently lost Rolex watch. She let us know that Eddy had also lost 3 rings over the past 3 years. We went to work at 9:00 am and kept at it until 12:00 noon. The result was a SRARC Ring Finders first. Bill found 2 men’s rings, 1 ladies ring, a Rolex Watch, and a Timex watch. Mike found 1 man’s ring and 1 ladies ring. With a total of 5 rings and 2 watches it was a fantastic recovery effort. Needless to say Renee was overjoyed. Great Job Guy’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lost Ring Recovered From Lido Beach

I met Laurel, the owner of Island Style Watersports and professional kayak guide at Ted Sterling Park to look for a ring her client lost the day before. According to Laurel, she was guiding a family through a mangrove tunnel when the husband’s kayak overturned.  He didn’t realize his wedding band was gone until returning to land, but Laurel was certain it came off as his hand was grabbing at overhead branches in an attempt to stay on the kayak. It turned out she was right and a few minutes later we were looking at a large white gold band in a scoop full of oyster shells!
