Ring Lost In Siesta Key Intercoastal, Recovered By Srarc

Chuck and his wife were relaxing in chairs on the bulkhead of their Siesta Key Condo watching the boats pass by on the inland waterway. Chuck was leaning forward fidgeting with his wedding ring and it slipped over the end of his finger and out of his hand. The ring bounced once on the concrete bulkhead and dropped into the water. He got a small net and some scuba gear hoping to scrap it up out of the bottom but he had no luck. Later that evening his wife found SRARC Ring Finders and contacted Howard Metts. Howard transmitted a callout and Mike took the challenge, contacted Chuck and arranged to meet him in the 4th of July. It was a very difficult hunt due to a large amount of iron spread throughout area. After about an hour and a half of hunting Mike was able to separate the ring from the iron and out of the deep it came. Now this was a pretty good day for Chuck, he was able to celebrate Independence Day, His 41st wedding anniversary, and the return of his wedding ring originally placed on his finger 41 years ago. He was a very happy man.

Ring Lost On Siesta Key, Recovered By SRARC

Harma stepped out of her back door on Siesta Key to call her dog back inside. As dogs sometime do, it refused to come in so she went out to wave it in. She waved her hand toward the door and off flew a very precious ring into the night. Harma and her husband both searched the yard but had no luck at all. She remembered that her friend and neighbor Leslie had recently lost a ring and it was recovered by a local group called the SRARC ring finders. She contacted Howard Metts and Mike Miller responded to the callout. Mike searched for about an hour and was loosing hope but decided to change coils and research the area. In short order he got a promising hit and sure enough out came the ring. This was not just any ring, it was her grandfathers wedding band which had been passed down to her and she was just heart broken that she had lost it. If you look closely you will see the wedding date of in Holland of 14/8/15. SRARC is ever so happy to have returned this precious heirloom to Harma.

Ring Lost On Siesta Key, Recovered By SRARC

Susan and Bill arrived on Siesta Key from Rhode Island for a weekend of family reunion to celebrate Bill’s Birthday. Their children, two siblings along with their children and grandchildren were due to arrive the next day for the beginning of the party. They headed out to the beach for some sun and relaxation before the big event commenced. Susan took her freshly cleaned and polished engagement ring off and set it on her chair to put suntan lotion on. They left the chairs to walk down the beach and when they returned, they quickly folded their chairs and towels and returned to their rental. About an hour later Susan realized she had forgotten about her ring. They returned to the beach and searched but it was not to be found. At some point she mentioned the lost ring to the rental homeowner and the owner found The Ring Finders site and sent it to Susan. Susan found SRARC on the site and contacted Howard Mett’s while she was standing in the spot where she thought they had been sitting. Howard contacted Mike who responded and after arriving at the site he found it right where she thought it would be. As the ring was returned, she looked up at him with tears of joy and a great big smile. SRARC hopes that she can now relax and enjoy the upcoming reunion and celebration.

Lido Key Beach Lost Ring Recovered By SRARC

Samantha and Peter went to Lido Key beach to enjoy the sunset and some evening fun after work. There were a lot of big swells so they decided to go play in the wat. As the bounced up and down with each new swell, Peter felt his wedding ring slipping from his finger. He looked down just in time to see it glide to the bottom and disappear in the sand. They stayed and looked until it was to dark to see but had no luck. Later that evening Samantha found SRARC on the Ring Finders site and contacted us. She also returned the next day to search with snorkel gear but still could not find the ring. Her last hope was SRARC, After setting up a time to meet Mike Miller and Paul Hill showed up and Peter took them to the location. After hunting for about 15 minutes Paul indicated he had the ring. We both walked in toward the shore and we could see a big smile form on Peters face. When we reach him, Paull held out his scoop and Peter searched for his ring. He pulled it out of the scoop and declared “This is not my ring”. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Paul Hill just scored an 18 K gold ring. So, back to work we went. After another 15 minutes we began to expand the search and shortly thereafter Paul claimed he had really found it this time. As we walked back to shore again, Peter was not sure what to expect. This time when he looked in the scoop he shouted “that’s my ring thank you, oh thank you”. Peter and Samantha have only been since December, so they were both overjoyed to have the ring back on Peter’s finger and we at SRARC were overjoyed to have been able to recover it for them.

Lido Key: Lost Ring Is Recovered

McKenzie was down on Lido Key beach chillin’ out with some friends on Sunday. She had her wedding ring of ten years on when they decided to serve a volleyball back and forth to each other. On one of her serves, McKenzie felt her ring fly off. She didn’t see where it went but everyone stopped what they wee doing and searched for the ring. After having no luck, she went and got a metal detector and searched for a couple more hours with no result. After hearing about the loss that evening one of her friends whispered into her ear that there was a Metal Detecting group that would come and help her search for her lost ring. She contacted SRARC Ring Finders and Mike Miller made arrangements to meet the next morning. She showed up with her husband and metal detector and pointed out the area that the ring might be. After about an hour Mike found and returned her ring. Then the plot thickens. It turns out that she had made arrangements to turn this ring in along with some additional cash for an upgraded Diamond ring to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. She didn’t know what they were going to do if the ring had not been found. Disaster averted!!!!! With SRARC to the rescue. It’s great to see McKenzie smiling again.

Alec was at the beach with family and decided to take a swim and sit down out in the ocean on a shallow area when along came a wave from behind that knocked in to him and pulled his ring off his finger. The entire family came out to help Alec look for his ring. They searched for some time and were amazed how quickly it could disappear and figured it was lost forever. Alec made some mental notes on where he was and googled lost ring and metal detectors on line and came across the SRARC website where he got in contact with Stan Flack. Stan quickly sent out some text to find a team member to try and find Alec’s ring. After some searching, team member Jim Thobe answered the call and agreed to meet Alec at the beach a few days later. Kayl and Stephanie were visiting their grandparents for a short relief from the winter weather in Chicago. It was a windy cold day but Kyle wanted to get into the gulf waters anyway. He ventured out into the rough water and was just contemplating put his head under the water when he saw is wedding ring of 6 months fall to the bottom of the gulf. He was devastated and started looking for it with his toes. After an hour he gave up and they went home.

They found The Ring Finders site on the internet and contacted Stan Flack. Stan posted their request to the SRARC Ring Finders group and Mike Miller relayed it to Jay and Karen Ganz. They met Kayl and Stephanie at the location and Karen did her best in the rough water to find it but was not successful. Karen rescheduled for the next calm water day and Mike met her in Englewood. After about 2 hours Mike was lucky enough to find the ring about 8 inches deep.

When Karen contacted Stephanie she could not believe we had found it. They had given up hope. Jay and Karen connected with Kayl and Stephanie’s Grandparents and returned the ring to them. They sent it on to Kaly and as you can see, the result is nothing but smiles.
