Ring Lost On Anna Maria Island, Recovered By SRARC
Jerry and Sue came to Anna Maria Island to have their wedding. All the families were there on the beach to attend the ceremony. Luke, Jerry’s son the best man, was busy organizing the wedding party because of an impending thunder storm and was on and off his cell phone several times prior the ceremony. Finally everything was ready and the wedding began. When the time for handing over the wedding ring came, Luke searched all his pockets but could not find it so the wedding went on without the ring. After the event was over the wedding party retraced their steps but could not find it. The next day someone found SRARC Ring Finders online and contacted Howard Mett’s. He organized a hunt and soon Tom and JoAnn Gajentan along with Mike Miller met the newly married couple and started a search. After about 10 minutes, Mike got lucky and out of the sand came the missing wedding ring. The couple were overjoyed and could not wait to relieve Luke’s sadness over losing the ring. It had simply fallen out of his pocket as he was placing and receiving calls on this cell phone. All is good that ends with such a happy result may you have many happy years together!!!!!!!

Ring Lost In Lakewood Ranch, Recovered By SRARC
Mark was cleaning the hull of his boat while on his lift and dropped a sanding block into the water. While reaching for
the sanding block his ring slipped off into the dark water. He found our SRARC Ring Finders website and contacted
Howard Metts. Jeanine and Howard Metts came out with their dive gear and Blue Nemo hookah. Jeanine tried for 45
minutes with no visibility and found the sanding block. Howard searched for another 45 minutes, got a signal and pulled
the ring from the deep muck. Mark and his wife were very grateful to see the wedding ring again! Great job Metts
team!

Ring Lost On Cortez Beach, Recovered By SRARC
Dora, JR, and Edmond were over from Texas for a little family visit and some much needed R & R at the Florida beaches. They set up a cover at Cortez Beach, Anna Maria Island and then played and went for a swim. As the day came to an end, Dora grabbed her Cutoff’s and put them on over her Swim suit, helped to pack up their gear and they all left the beach. When they reached the car, JR asked Dora for his wedding ring which he had put into her cutoff’s pocket. Dora had no idea he had done that so she paid no attention when getting dressed after the swim. She rushed back to the spot where they and sat and looked with no luck and then noticed Mike Detecting about 100 ft away. She asked Mike if he would look for the lost ring and he agreed to help. A few minutes later she had the ring in her hand a big smile on her face. Another happy ending for some of our friends from Texas.

Ring Lost On Anna Maria Island, Recovered By SRARC
Matt, his wife Tracey and Chris, his wife Amy came down from Indiana to enjoy Fall break with their children here in Florida. Chris and family went to Orlando to investigate the theme parks and Matt and family came to Anna Maria Island. Since they were friends, Matt invited Chris and family for a day at the beach. After they arrived from Orlando, both families headed together to the beach. They got settled on the sand and Matt and Chris headed out into the water and started throwing a football back and forth. On one of the throws, Chriss saw and felt his Gold and Platinum wedding ring fly of his finger. He knew right where it went into the water so he stood right there. They searched and searched but in the end could not find the ring. Later that evening Chris and family had to return to Orlando without his ring. Later that evening Matt googled “lost Rings on Anna Maria” and found SRARC Ring Finders. He contacted Joe Szemer who contacted Mike Miller who then did a callout for hunters. Mike Shuler, Dane Trask, and Mike all came together and meet Matt at the location the ring was lost. They got the information about where the ring was lost and went to work. About 20 minutes later Mike Miller got the sweet sound of Platinum in his ears and up came the lost ring in his scoop. There were lots if smiles as we waked back into the beach with the ring held high in the air. We don’t know when Chris will find out he has had his ring returned because we understand his wife Amy has some trickery planned, but we are sure he will end up with a great big smile on his face too.

Ring Lost On Anna Maria Island, Recovered By SRARC
Sarah and Tyler headed over to Anna Maria Island from Boca Raton to meet two of their College friends, Brenna and Erin, who had traveled from Pennsylvania for a small reunion. They all meet at a local B & B on Holmes Beach and on their first evening together headed out to the beach to watch the sunset. They had set up their chairs and got some drinks out of the cooler when Sarah remembered that she had not removed her engagement ring. She quickly took it off and handed it to her fiancé, Tyler, who put it into his wallet and zipped it closed. They enjoyed the warm evening watching the sunset and reminiscing about their college days. When it came time to go Sarah asked for her ring and Tyler unzipped his wallet and to their surprise it was not in the wallet. They all searched and searched but could not find it in the dry sand. As it began to get dark. Brenna googled “lost ring Anna Maria Island” and up popped SRARC ring finders. She called Joe Szemer who contacted Mike Miller. Mike left immediately for the beach and was soon greeted by the gang. He quickly went to work and within a few minutes had the ring back on Sarah’s finger. When the ring came out of the sand, there was much laughter and many smiles. SRARC is so glad we were able to turn this disaster into a happy memory.

Ring Lost At Anna Maria Island, Recovered By SRARC
Scott and his Laurie came to their favorite spot on Anna Maria Island from Brandon to enjoy their 39th wedding anniversary at the beach. They set up their chairs at the edge of the tide line and just relaxed for a couple hours and then decided to take a walk down the beach.. After returning, Scott noticed his ring finger was swollen so he decided to remove his wedding ring and put on his little finger. They stayed a few more hours and then headed home. After arriving home, Scott noticed his ring was gone. Thinking back he remembered hearing a tink sound while setting in the chair and came to the conclusion that it must have been his ring hitting the chair. They headed back to the spot the next morning with rakes and shovels to try and find the ring. They had no luck but as they worked a local beach gower asked what they were doing. When she discovered it was a lost ring she directed them to the SRARC Ring Finders. They called Joe Szemer and Joe called Mike Miller to meet them right away while they were still at the beach. It took just a minute for Mike to find the ring and return it to a very happy couple.

Gold Cross Lost On Holmes Beach, Recovered By SRARC
Rachel was spending the afternoon with her family at Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island. She had set her chair right at the edge of the water and was just enjoying the water lapping at her feet. When it came time to head home she stood up and walked a few feet towards the parking lot, then noticed the chain that held her gold cross was broken. She told me, “my beloved cross I’ve had since I was 16, came off my chain. I bought it with my own money after I started working at the movies” and now it is gone. They all searched the area for an hour and a half but could not find it. They finally left the beach with heavy hearts as it became dark and returned home to Brandon. The next day she asked for help in several metal detecting groups on Facebook. SRARC ring finders contacted her and soon we had Dane Trask headed to the beach for a recovery. Dane called Rachel from the beach and got detailed instructions and the hunt was on. After a quick hunt Dane pulled the cross from the sand. A short time later Dane met Rachel and family to return the cross. As you can see, Rachel was overjoyed to have her beloved cross back on her neck and Dane looks pretty pleased as well.

Ring Lost In Anna Maria Island, Recovered By SRARC
Georgia and Scott were visiting from Orlando. They came to see his parents for Memorial Day Weekend. They were all out at Anna Maria island for the day on Sunday and his dad and Scott were tossing the football around in the water. Scott felt the ring come off when he dove to catch the ball. They immediately started looking for it and grabbed some goggles from people nearby but had no luck. They found out about SRARC Ring Finders from a nearby camp and called and emailed in to Howard. They have been married for 1 year as of March 1st so the ring is very special to them and Georgia was very upset Scott had lost it. The next day Mike Schuler, Bill Gallant, Dane Trask, and Mike Miller met them at the beach. After getting instructions the hunters took to the water. In about 30 minutes Dane (on his first hunt with the Ring Finders) found the ring, Scott and Georgia couldn’t believe that we were actually going to find it. They said “They were so nice and helpful. THEY ARE THE BEST!!! Thank you again so much for helping us find it!!!” Congratulations to Dane on his first recovery and welcome the SRARC. We are very happy to have been able to return the ring to Scott and enjoyed both his and Georgia’s big smiles.

Ring Lost In Bradenton, Recovered By SRARC
Gregg and Heather living in Bradenton, spent the day trimming trees, leveling ground, and setting up an above ground swimming pool in their back yard. As the day came to an end Gregg discovered his treasured ring missing. They searched and searched but with no result. After reluctantly ending their search, Heather did a search for metal detectors on the internet and up popped SRARC Ring Finders. She contacted Joe Szemer and he did a callout. Mike Miller took the call and made arrangements to meet Heather the next day. Heather laid out the area she thought the ring would be in and Mike went to work. About 15 minutes later Mike heard the clear signal and there the ring sat barely visible under a leaf. Mike returned the ring to Heather and she assured him that Gregg would be overjoyed to have it back on is finger. We did not get to see the smile on Gregg’s face, but from past experience we know it will be a big one.
