Ring Lost On Anna Maria Island, Found By SRARC

Melodie, Jennifer, and Denise came from Lakeland to Anna Maria Island for a girl’s weekend. They had a wonderful weekend until Sunday afternoon when they left their cottage and setup out on the beach. Melodie took her wedding rings off and placed them on her chair to put sunscreen on and as she was finishing up the other girl’s brought out some food. She was so hungry that she began eating right away and instantly forgot about her rings. They finished with their lunch and enjoyed the day in the sun and surf. Later in the afternoon they packed up and headed back to their cottage. Upon arrival Melodie remembered her rings and checked in the chair but nothing was there. They all went back to the beach where they had been sitting and began to search the sand. They looked for hours and were joined by others trying to help but came up empty. Melodie contacted her husband who found Joe Szemer and Joe called Mike Miller who headed right down to the location. Melodie gave Mike some specific’s over the phone and within 5 minutes he found the rings right where she said they would be. When Mike met the girl’s out by their cottage they were very excited and Melodie was over the top happy to have her rings back. Always a great experience to see the joy when something so precious is returned.
