Ring Lost On Redington Beach, Recovered By SRARC

Tyler and his large extended family from Indiana were staying at a condo on Reddington Beach, enjoying the Florida sun, sand and surf.  Tyler placed his wedding band on a towel to apply sunscreen, and the next thing he knew, his ring was missing.  Everyone pitched in and raked through the sand with their fingers, but with no success.  While looking online about how to rent a metal detector, they found the site for SRARC and Ringfinders.  Tyler called for assistance, and a notice was sent out to the group.  Bill Gallant and Mike Shuler responded to the site, where Tyler and his family had been keeping careful watch over the area.  In less than five minutes, Mike held his scoop out to Tyler, who saw the ring inside and excitedly plucked it out.  We’re glad to see Tyler reunited with his ring so that he can continue to enjoy his beach vacation!

Ring Lost At Clearwater Beach, Recovered By SRARC

Elias and Nour were visiting Clearwater Beach from Michigan prior to attending a friends wedding. While swimming, Elias jumped into a wave and realized his gold chain he had for 25 years was gone. Nour then realized her gold engagement and wedding rings were also gone from her finger. They went to the lifeguard who directed them to our SRARC website and they contacted Howard Metts who immediately set up a hunt. Rob Clark, Bill Gallant, and Howard Metts were in the surf 2 hours latter conducting a hunt. Howard got a signal in ten minutes and could not get the item due to the waves, his machine stopped working so Rob and Bill took turns searching. Rob found the target and after 6 attempts came up with the beautiful gold chain. The plan was to meet with Elias and Nour the next day to return the chain and hunt for the ring, as they had already left for their friends wedding.

Ring Lost on Redington Shores. Recovered By SRARC.

Josh and his family were visiting friends at Reddington Shores. As he and his daughter were swimming in the deep water in front of the sand bar, his daughter accidentally kicked Josh’s hand, sending his wedding band to the bottom. After unsuccessfully combing through the sand with his toes, Josh considered buying a metal detector. Phil Meyers, the owner of a metal detector shop in Tampa, told him about SRARC and Ringfinders. Josh contacted Joe Szemer, who put out an announcement to the Ringfinder group. Bill Gallant, Ed Osmar, Mike Shuler, and Rob Clarke responded to the site. After about 45 minutes, Ed said he had a very promising signal, and sure enough, it turned out to be Josh’s ring! Josh met the group at the beach, and was beaming when Ed handed him his wedding band!

GOLD DIVER PENDANT Lost In Seminole, FL. Recovered By SRARC

Wyatt was ripping off the shingles of an old roof when the chain of his necklace broke. He carried the chain and pendant down the ladder, and was taking them to a safe place when he dropped them in the grass! He recovered the chain, but not the pendant, which was a custom-made gold scuba diver, given to him by his mother when he was dive certified at the age of 16. Wyatt found SRARC and contacted Howard Metts. The next morning, Mike Shuler responded to the address, where Wyatt was still working on the roof. The sod was thin where Wyatt had been vigorously searching for the lost pendant the day before. After pulling a few roofing nails and metal scraps, Mike had the pendant and signaled Wyatt, who rushed down the ladder to claim it. SRARC is glad that Wyatt is reunited with his sentimental pendant, hopefully making a difficult job a little bit easier!

Ring Lost Madeira Beach, Recovered By SRARC

Bailey, a newlywed from Columbus Ohio, was enjoying the sun on Madeira Beach, in Florida.
She took off her ring to put on sunscreen. She placed it in the chair’s cup holder where it remained.
Upon leaving, the chair was folded up and the ring fell out. Looking up detector rentals online, she came across
the website for SRARC. Joe was called and met her on the beach shortly after the loss. Within 10 minutes,
the ring was found. A happy ending to a Florida vacation.
