Ring Lost On Clearwater Beach, Recovered By SRARC

Colten and his wife were down from Indiana for a nice vacation at Clearwater Beach.  Knowing that his heavy wedding band was loose, Colten had been swimming with his fingers pressed together.  Spreading his fingers one time was all it took, and the ring slipped off.  Colten grappled with his ring for a second or two before it sunk into the chest-deep water.  He did an internet search for “lost ring” and “Clearwater”, and immediately found SRARC.  Club president Howard Metts was called, and a notice to the other club members was sent out.  A few hours later, Howard and Mike Shuler were in the water with their detectors.  The water had turned quite choppy, but after about 90 minutes of persistence, Mike held up the ring!  Colten had been watching from the shore the entire time, and was elated to be reunited with his ring, which is very sentimental to him.  We’re glad Colten and his wife can now relax and enjoy the remainder of their Florida vacation!

Ring Lost On INDIAN SHORES, Recovered By SRARC

Dylan and Nicole were in town from Denver to visit family and friends, and to hang out at the local beaches. Dylan was standing in the water at Indian Shores Beach throwing the football when his white gold wedding band came off his finger. The search that followed proved unproductive, and an internet search led Dylan to Ringfinders. He contacted SRARC vice president Joe Szemer, who put out a notice about the loss. Bill Gallant and Mike Shuler responded and met Dylan at the site. Dylan stayed as long as he could, but eventually had to leave to meet family in Clearwater. After two hours of unsuccessful hunting, Bill and Mike were getting concerned. They decided to go outside the boundaries of the search zone, and within a few minutes, the ring was found! They contacted Dylan, who rushed back to the beach with Nicole to meet Bill and Mike in the parking lot! The photo shows how excited this wonderful couple was to have their sentimental item back! Since he had to return to Denver the next day, SRARC is especially glad that Dylan could relax and enjoy the last day of his Florida vacation!
