Wedding Ring Lost On Clearwater Beach, Recovered By SRARC

Huge thank you to the group Srarc that goes out and helps people like me who could of had a sad wife on first day of vacation. Passing football in the ocean and it knocked my ring off. 30 minutes of searching and no luck. Looked over and saw a fella with a metal detector. With no real hope of finding it I did say I found it once with one in my yard. I had no real hope of finding it in the ocean. I asked the guy would his pick up rings and he said yes did you lose one. I told him I did and he said let me see what I can do. Within 20 minutes he waved me over and had found my ring down about 2 feet of sand in 3 feet of water. I asked him what did I owe him and he said have a great time on vacation. So relieved and so amazed at the odds of him being on the part of the ocean I was at the time I needed it the most. Thanks again for helping us. This experience has revived a little more hope in humanity that society is not what you see on social media where no one wants to help someone without it being posted first. He didn’t ask for a share, post, or video, but was ok with me posting if I wanted to. He helped the vacation not start on a bad note Happy wife, great vacation. More pictures and stories to come but this was the first of our great adventure on vacation this year.

Wedding Ring Lost On Anna Maria Island, Recovered By SRARC

Juan was visiting Anna Maria Island with his Mom, Dad, and Brother for the day from Orlando. He is a social media influencer under the name Lejuan James and wanted to produce a skit about sharks and the warnings his mother gave him as a child. He got into a shark outfit and started running in the shallow water away from his brother whom caught him and tackled him. As soon as he hit the water he felt his wedding ring come off. They all searched for a while but found nothing. Juan called his wife, Camella, and she soon found SRARC ring finders on the internet. She called Howard who put out a call. Mike Miller responded and soon headed to the island to meet Juan. After searching for about an hour, an afternoon lighting storm appeared and the search was ended. Juan and family headed back to Orlando with an assurance from Mike he would return to hunt the next day. The next day after about 20 minutes Mike found the ring. He contacted Juan and let him know the ring had been recovered. Juan packed up his wife and child and met Mike at his house where the ring was returned among lots of smiles. Always a pleasure to put such big smiles on peoples faces. The short video is what was being filmed when he lost the ring.

Wedding Band Lost, Recovered By SRARC

Had a really cool recovery today. Vic contacted me about his mother losing her wedding band that she has had for 56 years. She recently recovered from cancer and had lost a lot of weight and it slipped right off. She didn’t know if it was in the dry sand or when she was looking for shells in the surf. Took me about two hours of searching I had to wait for some people to move and when they did I searched their area and it was in the sand that they were using to weigh down their tent. Needless to say it’s always great to give it back and she was over the moon. They are leaving tomorrow for Azerbaijan.

Wedding Ring Lost On Anna Maria Island, Recovered By SRARC

Angie, Justin, and their two children came down to Anna Maria Island from Indiana for some fun in the sun and to renew their wedding vows after 23 years of marriage. They were staying at a condo on Holmes beach and the whole family was out on the sand enjoying the sun and surf. Justin was standing in ankle deep water and throwing a football to his son when he saw his wedding ring fly off into the water. They all searched for it with no luck. A little later Angie was talking with a friend in Bradenton and mentioned the lost ring. Her friend told her that a few years ago they had lost a ring and SRARC ring finders came to their rescue. Angie contacted Howard Metts and he put out a hunt request. Mike Miller responded and a few hours later met the family at the location and within 10 minutes the ring was back on Justin’s hand. Justin and Angie were very happy to have the ring back in time for their renewal vows the next day. SRARC is happy to have been able to bring smiles back to their faces.

Ring Lost On Clearwater Beach, Recovered By SRARC

Colten and his wife were down from Indiana for a nice vacation at Clearwater Beach.  Knowing that his heavy wedding band was loose, Colten had been swimming with his fingers pressed together.  Spreading his fingers one time was all it took, and the ring slipped off.  Colten grappled with his ring for a second or two before it sunk into the chest-deep water.  He did an internet search for “lost ring” and “Clearwater”, and immediately found SRARC.  Club president Howard Metts was called, and a notice to the other club members was sent out.  A few hours later, Howard and Mike Shuler were in the water with their detectors.  The water had turned quite choppy, but after about 90 minutes of persistence, Mike held up the ring!  Colten had been watching from the shore the entire time, and was elated to be reunited with his ring, which is very sentimental to him.  We’re glad Colten and his wife can now relax and enjoy the remainder of their Florida vacation!

Ring Lost On Anna Maria Island, Recovered By SRARC

Naomi and her husband and their two children were vacationing from Huston, Texas with other family members in Riverside. They all went to the beach on Anna Maria Island for some fun in the sun and gulf waters. They set up camp with a canopy and chairs and went about enjoying the day. At some point Naomi was in the water and could feel that her beautiful wedding ring was to loose and asked her husband to go put her rings into the beach bag under the canopy. He did as she asked except he put the rings onto a chair cup holder instead of the bag. When it came time to leave they picked up the chairs and the rings flew into the sand. Naomi’s brother spotted one of the rings but after continuing to search the wedding ring could not be found. After arriving home that evening Naomi’s grandfather found the SRARC ring finders on the internet. They contacted Howard Metts and he put out a request for hunters. Mike Miller responded and was soon on the hunt. After about 30 minutes the ring was recovered. Naomi was already in Orlando to catch a flight home so she asked her sister to meet Mike and the ring was put into her hands for the safe return to Naomi. SRARC is happy to have been able to bring another happy ending to a vacation in Florida.

Spencer and Taurie were having a wonderful time enjoying the beach. Taurie took her ring off and placed it on the towel to apply sunscreen. The wind blew her towel and the ring went flying. Searching the internet, SRARC.COM was found and Joe was dispatched. After a short hunt, the ring was returned.
